Katie Hobbs Vetoing HB 2613, Which Would Have Required All Election Equipment Be Manufactured In The United States With US-Made Components. “The integrity of our electoral process is vital to maintaining the foundations of democracy. Knowing and understanding this, the Arizona Legislature just passed H.B. 2613, which would have mandated voting machines used in state elections be made in America. Furthermore, this legislation would have required all those voting machines to have 100% of their parts and components sourced and assembled in the U.S.Unfortunately for the people of Arizona, Governor Hobbs vetoed the legislation. In An April 2023 Press Release, EFI Praised The Passing Of Senate Concurrent Resolution 1037, Which Set Official Requirements For The Use Of Election Voting Machines In The State And Banned The Use Of Some Election Machines. “The Arizona House voted yesterday to pass Senate Concurrent Resolution 1037, setting official requirements for the use of electronic voting machines in the state and banning the use of some. The resolution passed in the Arizona Senate on March 6 by a vote of 16-13. On Thursday, March 30, The Arizona House joined the Senate and voted 31-27 in favor. This resolution will bypass the Governor and go directly to the Secretary of State’s office. If the Secretary of State and Arizona Counties do not comply with this new rule, the Legislature can and likely will sue. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the Arizona Senate Elections Committee, chaired by State Senator Wendy Rogers, passed the amended resolution introduced by State Senator Anthony Kern.
